It sorely needs to become open source so some people who have clues can make it work properly. It doesn't do UPnP how any normal app is meant to, instead using its own non-standard subset of UPnP (which not all devices support, but uTorrent tries it on them anyway EVEN DESPITE the fact they advertise that they don't support it), just because the author thinks that's best. It doesn't understand Network Location Awareness, so can't find out if the connection has changed and know to query the trackers again. Its network handling by modern standards is crap. It also has an issue with unclean shutdowns (crashes) where it loses the entire list of torrents. UPnP support is flaky at best (WHY does it not use the Windows SSDP/NLA API?).
